President Obama! Speeches, parades, A People's President

Wow, a new government! Now, was that just a revolution that went by? I think it was. I was so happy to be able to watch the whole thing. Many gathered at Scholtz Garden but for someone who dislikes crowds, the best place was on my own couch. Before he made his entrance and was walking down the hall the expression on his face showed so much. Just one of the things I'll never forget. I had a ton of phone calls but it was my friend Bonnie who called and wanted to share his entrance with me. I joined many when I cried, smiled big and got goosebumps. His speech was straightforward and it was everything I wanted to hear, I was not disappointed. Looking forward to watching him on TV and hearing him speak. I always turned the TV off when the last president was scheduled to speak.

Even though I gave myself an Obama Day, I woke up at the same time I always do to go to work, showered and dressed because I didn't feel I could watch this inauguration in pjs.
